KNON 11th Annual Mardi Gras Gumbo Party Sunday February 19th, 2012

The 11th Annual KNON Mardi Gras Gumbo Party is happening on Sunday, Febrauary 19th at Poor David's Pub! Reigning "Best Gumbo" champs The Alligator Cafe' will be returning, along with former competitors Louisiana Red, Offshores Nextdoor, and Crawdads of Dallas and joining this year will be Fish City Grill. That's five of DFW's finest eating establishments serving up their gumbo for you to taste and vote! Music will be by Lil Jimmie & The Feedback Band.

You read that right... and we couldn't be prouder! D Magazine staff and editor Tim Rogers selected KNON 89.3FM as "Best Radio Station in Dallas" for 2011. What a great accolade for our 28 year anniversary! But KNON staff, volunteer DJs and their cohosts and volunteers aren't the only parties who get the credit... the businesses who underwrite with us and YOU, the listeners, are also very important factors in KNON getting an award of such esteem. 2011 is an outstanding year for KNON! We appreciate the lauding of the diversity of our programming from the print media, and the good folks at the Dallas Observer get our appreciation right back for recognizing KNON as "Best Radio Station" in their "Best of Dallas" awards issue.
